Measuring with a Sleep Partner

Overview

If you have a sleep partner, encourage them to take their own free snore measurement with you in order to separate sleep sounds and provide accurate results. To take a joint measurement, your sleep partner will need to download the BreatheIQ™ app. When you take a joint measurement, you will not be able to see your partner’s results in your BreatheIQ™ app. They will also not be able to see your results in their BreatheIQ™ app.

If you have not connected BreatheIQ™ accounts with your partner yet, see Connecting my Sleep Partner’s Account.

Starting a Joint Measurement

To start a joint measurement with your sleep partner, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the BreatheIQ™ app.
  2. In the “Measure” tab, click “Start Measurement.”
  3. You will be presented with the “Measure Together” screen and you will see your connected sleep partner.
  4. Click “Start measurement.”
  5. Click “Send reminder” to request a measurement with your sleep partner.
  6. Click “Continue.”
  7. Read the steps to ensure you are ready for a measurement. When they are all satisfied, click “Continue.”
  8. Decide when you want your measurement to start, make your selection and click “Start.”
  9. You are now ready for a great night of sleep!

Your sleep partner will receive a reminder to join the measurement. Your sleep partner can join the measurement up to 3 hours after you start yours.

Reminder:

  • At least 2 hours of overlapping partner measurement is required to separate sleep sounds.
  • Both sleepers need to successfully complete a measurement for your results to be analyzed.
