Before you begin

  • Remove batteries from the remote.
  • Assemble the DualTemp Layer on the bed.
  • Plug the power cord into a working wall outlet and the light on the power brick is green. Do not use extension cords or a power strip.
  • Note: It is normal for the fan to turn on when complete. If the remote screen is blank, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and repeat the instructions. Replace the batteries if the screen is still blank.

Pair remote

  1. If you have more than one DualTemp Layer, set one remote next to each fan so you know which remote you are pairing to which side.
  2. Unplug the DualTemp Layer power cord from the wall outlet. If you are pairing two DualTemp remotes on the same bed, unplug both sides.
  3. Insert 2 AA batteries into the back of the first remote.
  4. Within 60 seconds, plug in the first fan and follow the prompts on the remote.
    • Note: If the remote fails to sync, make sure the power cord is securely connected to the fan, power supply brick, and the wall outlet. Try steps 2-4 again.
  5. Follow the instructions on the remote to input a name.
    • This helps you identify which side of the bed the remote is controlling.
    • If the screen is blank, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. The positive side should be facing the bottom of the remote.
    • It is normal for the fan to turn on after inputting a name.
  6. Set the remote down and wait 5 minutes before pairing the second remote and fan, if necessary.
  7. Repeat steps 3-5 on the second side.

Reset remote

  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote and take the batteries out. Keep the batteries close by.
  2. Unplug and plug in the DualTemp fan power cord.
  3. Within 60 seconds, put the batteries back in the remote. The positive side should be facing the bottom of the remote when inserted.
  4. Follow the remote instructions to name your remote.
    • This helps you identify which side of the bed the remote is controlling.
    • If the screen is blank, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. The positive side should be facing the bottom of the remote.
    • If is normal for the fan to turn on after inputting a name.

Reset Remote

The process depends on which firmware your remote has. The remote will either open the "System" menu or switch to "Rename Remote." Follow the steps that apply to your remote.

System

  1. Start on the "System" menu. If your remote fell asleep, press and hold the up and down arrows to re-open the "System" menu.
  2. Select "Factory Reset."
  3. Unplug and plug in the DualTemp power cord as directed on the remote screen.
  4. Follow the instructions to name your remote.
  5. The fan will turn on when complete.

Rename Remote

  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote and take the batteries out. Keep the batteries close by.
  2. Unplug and plug in the DualTemp fan power cord.
  3. Within 60 seconds, put the batteries back in the remote. The positive side should be facing the bottom of the remote when inserted.
  4. Follow the remote instructions to name your remote.
