About air loss
- Air loss is a continuous loss of firmness that happens every time you put air in your mattress, usually after one sleep session.
- If your pump is running all the time or it takes a long time to fill your mattress with air, then you may have air loss.
- Air loss can be caused by issues with the air chamber, hoses/connections, or the pump.
- It is normal for your bed to fluctuate 5-15 Sleep Number® settings points at any time.
- Room temperature, Responsive Air, when an air pressure reading is taken, and if you have just gotten in/out of bed can also give the impression of air loss.
- You must be near your bed to troubleshoot.
- Check that your bed is getting power by adjusting your Sleep Number setting. If it does not respond, check your power source and connections to the pump.
- Remove all bedding from your bed.
- Find your white air chamber caps. Caps are usually stored inside the bed or base. If you do not have caps, visit your local Sleep Number store to pick up a set or order them online.
