What is a Sleep Number® setting?
Your Sleep Number® setting is the firmness level that you can adjust in your Sleep Number® mattress. Somewhere between zero and 100 is your ideal level of comfort and support, 100 being the most firm. Most Sleep Number beds also feature DualAir™ adjustability, which allows each side of the mattress to have a unique Sleep Number® setting.
Does a higher Sleep Number® setting mean a firmer bed?

Mattress height varies by model. The Climate™ Collection range from 12”-13”, giving adjustable firmness, advanced pressure relief and active temperature control. Our ComfortNext™ Collection range from 12”-14”, providing adjustable firmness, advanced pressure relief and increased cooling materials. Our ComfortMode™ Collection range from 10”-11”, providing adjustable firmness, targeted pressure relief and cooling materials. The True Temp™ Zone Mattress Collection range from 11”-13”, a cooling hybrid mattress, comes in three firmness levels – firm, medium and plush.

What size bed should I get for my room?
Before you fall in love with a specific model, make sure the room can support it. A King works best in bedrooms that are at least 12' x 10', giving you enough clearance around the bed for furniture and easy movement. A Queen fits comfortably in bedrooms as small as 10' x 10', which is why it works equally well in a primary bedroom or a well-appointed guest room. That's one of the clearest advantages over a King — you keep the sleeping space without sacrificing the rest of the room. Do I need a base for my Sleep Number® mattress?
A Sleep Number® mattress requires a firm flat surface to evenly support the air chambers inside your bed. A traditional box spring does not provide the support required for a Sleep Number® mattress. The firm solid surface offered by a Sleep Number® base, bunkie board, platform furniture or slats no more than 2 inches apart is the ideal surface for your Sleep Number® mattress.
Can I use my existing headboard or bed furniture?
Sleep Number® mattresses come in all standard industry mattress sizes and will fit into traditional frames and furniture sets. FlexFit® adjustable bases can stand-alone or be placed inside of your freestanding bed frame. Note that King and California King size mattresses and adjustable bases are also available in split sizes, so that you and your partner can have the luxury of raising the head and foot of your FlexFit® adjustable base independently.

What technology is available in Sleep Number® beds?
Most Sleep Number® beds are available across three collections: ComfortMode™, ComfortNext™ and Climate™. All three include adjustable firmness and Responsive Air® technology, which automatically adjusts to help keep you comfortable as you move. ComfortNext™ adds connected features, including Sleep Insights and control through the Sleep Number® app. Climate™ includes those smart features plus active warming and cooling for personalized temperature comfort.
How do I control a Sleep Number® bed?
Control options vary by collection. ComfortMode™ mattresses use a remote. ComfortNext™ and Climate™ Collections can be controlled with either a remote or the Sleep Number® app.
What is SleepIQ® technology?
SleepIQ® technology works with sensors inside your compatible Sleep Number® mattress, your home Wi-Fi network and the Sleep Number® app to track your sleep automatically — with nothing to wear or turn on. In the app, you can see your daily SleepIQ® score, compare it with your average and review sleep trends by day, week, month or year. Personalized insights and weekly and 30-day summaries can help you better understand your sleep and build healthier sleep routines.
The app may also show wellness metrics such as average heart rate, heart rate variability and average breathing rate, and it can learn your sleep schedule to suggest ideal bedtimes and wake times. Sleep-tracking and connected features vary by mattress and are not available on every bed.
Does a Sleep Number bed require Wi-Fi?
ComfortNext™ and Climate™ Collections are compatible with Wi-Fi, allowing you to get personalized insights to your sleep.
Does every Sleep Number® mattress work with the Sleep Number® app?

Do all Sleep Number® beds raise the head and feet?

Can I buy only the mattress?
You do not need a Sleep Number® base for a Sleep Number® mattress, but pairing them creates a more complete sleep system. An adjustable base adds head and foot positioning, so you can personalize how you sleep, sit up or relax. Depending on the model, you may also get features such as Zero Gravity, under-bed lighting, app control, Partner Snore™ technology or Foot Warming. If you are not looking for adjustability, a stylish upholstered base designed to provide a firm, level surface for your Sleep Number® mattress is available.
Is Sleep Number® financing available?

What warranty applies to a Sleep Number® mattress?
Sleep Number® mattresses are covered by our 10-Year Limited Warranty, so you can sleep with confidence. Enjoy full warranty coverage from the date of delivery for the first two years. Beginning on the second anniversary of your original delivery date until the tenth anniversary, you'll share in the cost of repairs and replacement parts under the 8-Year Limited Warranty. Your portion will be based on a prorated amount.
Is there an In-Home Trial Period for a Sleep Number® mattress?
Yes. Sleep Number® mattresses are covered by a 100-night In-Home Trial Period that begins on the day your product is delivered. If, after a 30-night period, you are not completely satisfied sleeping on your new Sleep Number® mattress, you may contact us to arrange for a return or a one0time exchange of your purchase.
