Product Returns: Shipping Size and Weight Limits

When returning a Sleep Number® product, shipping size and weight limits apply to return shipments. Review the requirements below before shipping your item to help avoid delivery delays, additional fees, or refused packages.

 

Weight limits for return shipments

Each return shipment must meet the following weight requirement:

• Up to 150 pounds (70 kilograms) per package

If your return includes multiple items or components, you may need to ship them in separate boxes to stay within the weight limit.

 

Size limits for return shipments

Return shipments must also meet the following size requirements:

• Up to 108 inches (270 centimeters) in length
• Up to 130 inches (330 centimeters) when length and girth are combined

Packages that exceed these limits may be rejected or returned to the sender.

 

How to measure your package

To determine whether your return meets the size limits, follow these steps:

1. Measure the girth
   Measure the distance around the box at its widest point.
2. Measure the length
   Measure the side perpendicular to the widest point (this is the longest side of the package).
3. Calculate total package size
   Add the length and girth measurements together to determine the total package size.

Tip: Always measure the box at its widest points, including any bulging from packing materials or reinforced tap.

 

If your return exceeds these limits

If your package is larger or heavier than allowed:

• Repack the item into multiple boxes, if possible
• Ensure each box meets the size and weight limits
• Contact Sleep Number Support before shipping if you’re unable to repackage your return

Shipping a package that exceeds the limits may result in delays or additional charges.

 

Helpful packaging tips

• Use a sturdy, undamaged box
• Secure items to prevent movement during shipping
• Reinforce seams with strong packing tape
• Remove or cover old shipping labels and barcodes
• Attach the return label clearly to the largest side of the box
