We recommend logging in to the Sleep Number® app for the best experience and to access all the features of your smart bed. However, you can still adjust your bed using Bluetooth even if you are not logged into the Sleep Number® app.
Here's how to do it in just a few taps.
Quick Start: Adjust Your Bed While Logged Out
- Be within 8 feet of the bed with your phone or tablet.
- Turn Bluetooth on in your device settings.
- Open the Sleep Number app.
- On the login screen, tap "Adjust Your Smart Bed."
- Follow the steps on screen to connect to your bed.
Note: Only one device can connect to the bed at a time.
Bluetooth Setup Tips
- Bluetooth must be turned on in your device settings and in the Sleep Number® app settings.
- You must be within Bluetooth range of your bed.
Having trouble? Try this:
- Restart Bluetooth: Turn Bluetooth off, then back on in your settings.
- Force-close the Sleep Number app, then reopen it.
- How to force close an app on iPhone:
- From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
- Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
- How to force close an app on Android:
- Depending on your device:
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the 'Recent Apps' next to the 'Home' button.
- Then swipe away the app.

- Make sure your bed is plugged in, and your app is up to date.
- Still stuck? Uninstall and reinstall the app, then follow the steps again.
