We're so sorry to hear you're having trouble with your DualTemp layer. If your DualTemp layer turns on and the remote shows a snowflake or heat waves, we know the remote is working, but it sounds like it's not getting hot or cool enough.
Choose your DualTemp layer fan
Click/tap the image that matches your DualTemp layer fan. The fan is usually located on the floor.
Gray DualTemp fan
1. Inspect your DualTemp layer's hoses and fan

Turn the fan on high and leave it there while you complete the next steps.

Check the full length of the hoses for kinks, pinches, or bedding that may be too tight.

Make sure the hose is attached to the fan and the connector isn't broken or cracked. Contact us for a replacement if the hose is damaged.
- Check the space around each fan. That fans need open space to circulate air and deliver heated or cooled air to the layer's surface. Make sure there is at least 1 foot of open space around all sides of the fan.
- Enclosed furniture can block air circulation and warm the air under your bed.
- If your furniture leaves less than 6 inches of open space between the floor and bottom of the furniture, we recommend placing the fan next to your bed.
- After making any needed adjustments, feel the surface of your DualTemp layer for airflow. If you feel air flowing, then the issue is resolved. If not, move on to cleaning your fan below.
2. Clean your fan
- Turn your fan off.
- Wipe the outside of your fan with a clean, dry cloth.
- Vaccuum the metal mesh to keep dust from building up.
- Move on to checking your fan for airflow.
3. Check your fan for air flow
- Turn your fan on high and feel the back for airflow. The airflow at the back of the fan should be the opposite temperature from the current setting.
- If you can feel air flowing from your fan and it feels like the opposite temperature that the remote is set to: Your DualTemp layer needs to be replaced.
- If you cannot feel air flowing from your fan: Your fan needs to be replaced.

2. Clean your fan
Your DualTemp layer has filters that need to be cleaned or replaced every 6 months. You can order replacement filters online.
- Remove magnetic filter covers and remove the filters from the fan.
- Hand wash in warm soapy water with dish soap.
- Rinse in clean water.
- Air dry completely before re-installing.

- Turn your fan on high and feel the back for airflow. The airflow at the back of the fan should be the opposite temperature from the current setting.
- If you can feel air flowing from your fan and it feels like the opposite temperature that the remote is set to: Your DualTemp layer needs to be replaced.
- If you cannot feel air flowing from your fan: Your fan needs to be replaced.
