Checklist: Getting ready for your delivery

You deserve better sleep. That's why we're thrilled you decided to purchase a Sleep Number® smart bed.

To ensure a seamless delivery, and to make sure you're able to take full advantage of all the features of your new Sleep Number® smart bed, please review the following checklist of how to prepare for your upcoming delivery.  


Steps to Take Prior to Day of Delivery

    • Make sure you've registered your smart bed using either the Sleep Number® app or by visiting
    • At least 1 - 2 days prior to delivery, we'll contact you to confirm your delivery date and time.
    • You can confirm your delivery date and time in the Sleep Number app.
    • On day of delivery, a Field Service Technician will provide a courtesy call prior to arrival.
    • To track your shipments, view delivery appointment details, and if needed change your date visit
    • If you ordered a FlexFit™ adjustable base, measure your furniture before your bed arrives.
      • Please note that you will need to remove the slats from your bed frame prior to the technicians' arrival on the day of delivery.
    • If you are planning on attaching a headboard, review your order to make sure you purchased headboard brackets.
    • Due to liability issues, Field Service Technicians cannot attach, disassemble, drill holes in, remove or relocate bedroom furniture, bed frames, bases or competitors' adjustable bases.
    • Do not remove your current mattress until your new mattress is delivered.
    • Sleep Number beds requires an electrical source within five feet for operation.
    • Sleep Number® bedding item orders will arrive in a separate shipment via UPS.
    • Sleep Number® Premium Collection upholstered items will be delivered within 4 to 6 weeks of purchase.
    • Essential Collection upholstered items will be delivered within 2 weeks via UPS for self assembly.
