When to Pair
- You have received a new or replacement remote.
- Note: If you have replaced your pump, you'll need to do a Factory Reset.

Sleep Number 360 smart bed with FlexFit™ adjustable smart base
Important: Do not set the remote down until finished. The screen will go to sleep, and you will have to start over.
Before You Begin
- Ensure your remote has 2 new AA batteries.
- Remove all non-bedding items from the bed.
- The bed is plugged in and receiving power.
Pair Your Remote
- Grab your remote, your screen will say “Let’s get started” and press Enter.
- Select Yes and press Enter when asked if your bed has a Sleep Number button at the hip.
- “At the hip” = hip position when lying in bed.
- “At the hip” = hip position when lying in bed.
- On the Adjustable Base, press the Sleep number Button (at the hip) for 10 seconds, until it starts to flash (blue and orange). Once flashing, press Enter on the remote to continue.
- Your remote will tell you that it’s attempting to sync to the pump.
- DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR BED. Press Enter to continue when prompted to plug in your FlexFit™ Control System to a working outlet.
- Press Enter to return to flat when prompted to re-calibrate the bed position.
- Press Enter when the remote says the bed position feature was successfully re-calibrated. You may now adjust the bed position.
- Select your preferred level of brightness (Low / Medium / High) for your underbed light brightness level and press Enter.
- Press Enter to keep your new setting.
- Select Skip and press Enter when asked to unplug and plug your Right side or Single DualTemp Control™ System to a working outlet.
- Ensure all non-bedding items have been removed from the bed and press Enter when asked, "Is the bed clear?"
- The bed will prompt that the Firmness Control™ System is now setting up the SleepIQ™ system.
- Note: This will take less than 30 seconds.
- If you receive a Blue Sleep Server Error Screen, press Enter to bypass.
- If you get an E13 error, it means the pump is offline. Press Enter to bypass the error.
- Press Enter to continue when prompted that the Firmness Control™ system has successfully been set up.
- Your setup is now complete!
Factory Reset
- Reset your remote to factory settings by selecting Home > System > Settings > Reset Preferences > Factory Reset.
- Select "Yes" when asked if you want to reset to factory settings.
- Select "No" when asked if this is a second or a replacement remote.
- When asked if the bed has a Sleep Number button at the hip, select "Yes."
- Locate the button located at the hip and press and hold it until it starts blinking. Select Continue.
- When prompted to, unplug and plug in the FlexFit Control System from the wall outlet.
- Do not unplug the cord from the base.
- Press Skip when asked to unplug and plug in the right DualTemp engine.
- If you get a blue screen with a Sleep Server error, press Enter twice to bypass this error.
- Select "No" for input name.
- You can come back and do this later after the remote is paired.
- Follow the steps under the 360 Remote/Traditional Silver Remote dropdown.
- Follow the instructions on the remote until you see Set Up Complete!
Sleep Number 360 smart bed with Integrated Base or Mattress Only
Important: Do not set the remote down until finished. The screen will go to sleep, and you will have to start over.
Before You Begin
- Ensure your remote has 2 new AA batteries.
- Remove all non-bedding items from the bed.
- The bed is plugged in and receiving power.
Pair Your Remote
- Grab your remote, your screen will say “Let’s get started” and press Enter.
- Select No and press Enter when asked if your bed have a Sleep Number button at the hip.
- “At the hip” = hip position when lying in bed.
- Select No and press Enter when asked if this is a replacement or second remote.
- Follow prompt to unplug and plug in your Firmness Control™ System to a working outlet.
- Leave the bed unplugged for 10 seconds.
- Select and press Enter to continue with setup.
- Your remote will tell you that it’s attempting to sync to the pump.
- Note: If the remote fails to sync, unplug and plug in your bed. Choose Continue to try again.
- Your remote will move to a DualAir™ technology engaging screen. This may take 6 to 7 minutes to finish.
- Remember: Do not set the remote down or you will have to restart the process!
- Press Enter to complete bed setup.
- DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR BED. Select Skip and press Enter when prompted to unplug and plug in the FlexFit Control system.
- Select skip and press Enter when asked to unplug and plug your Right side or Single DualTemp Control™ System to a working outlet.
- Ensure all non-bedding items have been removed from the bed and press Enter when asked Is the bed clear?
- The bed will prompt that the Firmness Control™ System is now setting up the SleepIQ™ system.
- Note: This will take less than 30 seconds.
- If you see a blue screen with a Sleep Server error, press Enter twice to bypass the error.
- Follow the instructions until you see Set Up Complete!
