Problem with SmartTemp™ Programs

Things to Know

  • If you are already in bed when your SmartTemp™ program is scheduled to start, your program will run at the scheduled time. 
  • When you have foot warming set to turn on with your SmartTemp program, foot warming will turn on 30 minutes before your scheduled bedtime.
    • FlexFit 3: Foot warming will turn off and gradually cool down once you get in bed. 
    • Climate360: If you have a SmartTemp program scheduled, foot warming will turn off and gradually cool down once you get into bed. If you have a custom program scheduled, you can choose when your foot warming will turn off. 
  • Your bed needs to be online for SmartTemp programs to work as designed.

Things to Check

  • Make sure you are using the latest version of the Sleep Number® App. It’s normal to experience issues if you have an outdated version.
    • You can visit the Google Play or App Store and search for the Sleep Number app to get the latest version.
  • Confirm you have a SmartTemp program set up under "Scheduled Programs" in the app. Make sure the status toggle is on.
  • Only the sleeper logged in can view or add SmartTemp programs. 
  • Make sure your bed is online.
  • If all looks good, we recommend you delete and recreate the SmartTemp program to help resolve the issue.

Common Troubleshooting Voices

SmartTemp Program Starting/Ending Early or Late

  • Check your timezone to make sure it is set correctly. Incorrect timezones will impact when programs start and end.

SmartTemp Program Didn’t Update

  • If the program was edited after it was scheduled to start, the change will be reflected on the next scheduled day.
