FlexFit® Adjustable Base Error Codes (4 Digit)

Applies to Silver 360 traditional remotes (5-, 9-, or 12 button) and 360 smart beds remotes (5-, 10-, or 12-buttons).

Four‑digit error codes on your Sleep Number® adjustable base usually indicate a temporary communication or power issue. These steps help reset the system and restore normal operation.

How to Reset the Base

  1. Press Enter to return the bed to a flat position.
  2. If the bed adjusts, wait until it fully stops.
  3. Unplug the adjustable base power cord.
  4. Wait 20 seconds, then plug the cord back in.
  5. Wait 2 full minutes for the base to reboot.
    Skipping this step may cause an E3 bed position connectivity error.
  6. Press Home on the remote.
  7. If a yellow triangle appears next to System, go to System > Notifications and clear all alerts.
  8. Try adjusting your base again.

If this does not resolve the error, please contact our adjustable base service provider, Leggett & Platt . You may be asked to provide the base serial number.

How to Reset the Base

  1. Set the remote down and allow it to go to sleep.
  2. Turn off the red power switch on the control box.
  3. Unplug the power cord for 20 seconds.
  4. Plug the cord back in and turn power on.
  5. Wait 2 full minutes for reboot.
    Not waiting may cause an E3 connectivity error.
  6. Return to the Home screen.
  7. Clear any Notifications alerts.
  8. Try adjusting the base.

If the Base Still Does Not Adjust

  • Check control box connections:
    • One connector (Queen or smaller)
    • Two connectors (King)
  • Push each connection in firmly.
  • Check under the base if recently moved.
  • Clear alerts and try again.
