Sleep Number Traditional Remote Error Codes
E1 connectivity error: The remote has lost connection with the Firmness Control™ System. This can happen after a power interruption or after replacing the pump. Pairing or power-cycle steps may be needed.
E2 inflation error: The mattress is taking longer than expected to move between Sleep Number® settings. This is often caused by an air hose that is loose, kinked or partially disconnected.
E3 connectivity error: The remote has lost connection with the FlexFit® adjustable base. Check for power issues, loose cords, weak remote batteries or a temporary communication issue between the remote and base.
E4 connectivity error: The remote has lost connection with the Sleep Number® bed or FlexFit® adjustable base. In many cases, removing and reinserting the batteries clears the message after the connection is restored.
EX2 SleepIQ Processor error: The remote is not communicating with the SleepIQ® system on your bed. This is typically caused by a loose or improperly connected SleepIQ® processor inside the control system.
ER, E or E0 connectivity error: The remote has lost communication with the Firmness Control™ system. In most cases, this happens after a power interruption or when the remote and pump need to reconnect.
4-digit FlexFit® adjustable base error code: The adjustable base has a temporary power or communication issue between the remote and base.
Sleep Number Traditional Remote Troubleshooting
Remote Operating Wrong Side of Bed: If the remote controls the wrong side of the bed, check the air hose connections first. Reversed hoses can cause the opposite side of the bed to adjust when using the remote.
Options missing from Remote: If options like Sleep Number, Bed Position, SleepIQ, or DualTemp are missing from your remote, your remote may need to be reset. If an option appears but is grayed out, first check that your bed components are plugged into a working outlet.
