This guide explains how to assemble an integrated base and optional stylish frame, including setup, disassembly for moving, and reassembly.
Integrated Bases vary slightly - some are designed as Pump on Floor, some have pump compartments.

Step 1: Assemble the Stylish Frame
Skip this step if you do not have a stylish frame
Stylish Frame Assembly Steps
- Lay out all frame components on the floor
- Position the side rails with plastic holders facing inward
- Attach the center cross brace until it clicks securely
- Attach the head and foot cross braces
- Confirm all pieces are level and firmly connected
- Optional: Apply adhesive foot pads to protect hard floors
Once complete, the frame should be stable and ready for the integrated base.
Step 2: Set Up the Integrated Base
You can complete this step with or without a stylish frame.
Position the Base Units
- Stand the left and right base units upright outside the frame
- Make sure:
- Law labels are at the head of the bed
- Hose openings are at the bottom
Connect the Control System
- White hose → Sleeper Left
- Blue hose → Sleeper Right
- Plug the power cord into the Control System (pump)
- Place the system near the head of the bed and connect to an outlet
Route and Secure the Hoses
- Guide hoses underneath the frame. When standing at the foot of the bed sleeper left is on your right side and sleeper right is on your left side.
- Insert hoses through the base openings until they exit the opposite side (Sleeper Left: White Hose, Sleeper Right: Blue Hose).
- Lay both bases flat and confirm they are seated properly on the stylish frame (if applicable).
Step 3: Set Up the Mattress
- Remove the mattress from packaging
- Locate the product label
- Place the mattress on the base with the label at the foot of the bed
- Connect the air hoses securely to the mattress
Step 4: Get Your Bed Online
Skip this step if you do not have a smart mattress
After assembly:
- Open the Sleep Number® app
- Sign in or create an account
- Register your bed using your order details
- Follow in‑app instructions to connect the bed to Wi‑Fi

Step 1: Prepare the Mattress
- Inflate both sides of the mattress to Sleep Number® setting 100.
- Disconnect the hoses from the mattress.
- Immediately attach the white closure caps to prevent air loss.
Step 2: Disassemble Your Base
Skip this step if you do not have a split base.
- Separate the left and right-side base.
- If your base has a pump compartment, you will need to disconnect the right and left hose at the foot of the bed.

- Re-attach the hoses to your mattress.

If the mattress inflates slowly or firmness does not change, disconnect, and reconnect the hoses at the pump to confirm secure connections. If a remote shows a connectivity error, verify the pump is plugged into a working outlet and complete a factory reset if needed
